The L family’s big news

I’ve been friends with these guys for a long time. When they asked me to help them with their maternity announcement, I was honored. We did a quick mini-session to capture their excitement about Baby L. Below are the results. I think the photos turned out beautiful. Thank you to my friends for letting me be a part of this big announcement. Can’t wait to meet this kiddo.

Family Portraits – The Q Family

To do an outdoor family session at the end of December might seem a little crazy but Georgia weather itself is a little crazy. For this family portrait session, the weather a mild 54 degrees and partly cloudy. The clouds gave us just enough cover to do the shoot midday and no one had to wear a coat. The results below are great. We got shots of the family and the grand parents and a few with Grandma’s dog.

Thanks so much Q family! I am glad we got to do this before you guys headed home out west!

Maternity: Jamie and Aaron

Jamie and Aaron are expecting a baby this July. This shoot was beyond special because it celebrates my future niece or nephew. That’s right – my beautiful sister and brother-in-law are expecting a baby!

We went to the place that they got married, Rhodes Hall on Peachtree Street. Then a little park where Peachtree and W. Peachtree intersect that was just filled with cherry blossoms. We then went to the High Museum campus that was also brimming with cherry blossoms. Our final stop was the railroad tracks in Jamie and Aaron’s neighborhood. It was a great shoot with gorgeous results – check it out.

Wedding – Megan and Dillon

Megan and Dillon were married on a beautiful fall day in November at Glendalough Manor. I could see why they choose this location immediately. This venue, located 40 minutes outside of Atlanta, had it all – sprawling lawns and gardens with gorgeous trees echoing all the colors of fall, two pristine and large reception halls, one with a fireplace.

Megan and Dillon chose to have a first look before the wedding, which always makes for great pictures.

Their ceremony took place as the sun went down – it was so romantic.

This was another time that I got work with Graceology but unlike before, it was my first time working with Chris’s other half, Heather. She is as much a wedding photo extraordinaire as her hubby. I really enjoyed working with her. Check out her beautiful photos from Megan & Dillon’s wedding here.

Congrats Megan & Dillon! I wish you both all the best!

Wedding – Sharon & Bryan

Sharon and Bryan were married at a church in North Atlanta. Their ceremony was a traditional catholic mass followed by a lavish reception at the Biltmore Hotel in the Georgian Ballroom.

I got to be a part of their day by way of Marta Noe Photography. This was the first time Marta asked me to work for her and I was more than thrilled. She has given me photography advice over the last couple years and her work is amazing. Marta has been doing weddings for some time now and shoots each one using her well-trained, artistic eye. I hope to work with her more in the future. Check out her blog post for Sharon & Bryan here: http://martanoephotographyblog.com/2011/12/02/sharon-bryan-married/

Thank You Marta! Congrats Sharon & Bryan!

Wedding – Jennie & Anish

Jennie & Anish were married on a sunny fall Saturday at Saint Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville, GA. Their ceremony incorporated sentiments from the Catholic religion and from Indian tradition. Their families celebrated with them in the Hilton Ballroom where dances were danced, tears were shed and love was shared. It was a magical evening, to say the least. Congrats Jennie & Anish!

Ginger, Jim & Caroline

I met Caroline and her parents at their place in Villa Rica on beautiful fall afternoon. We started off at the pond in their neighborhood and finished our session off at Clinton Farms, a gorgeous park just down the street. These three were lots of fun as they were still celebrating Caroline’s 1 birthday from the day before. She got an “anywhere” chair as a gift and we decided to see if it lived up to its name. It most certainly did!

Happy birthday sweet Caroline.
