Ashlee & John – Engaged!

This engagement is very near and dear to my heart. Ashlee has been an amazing friend to me for over 20 years. When she told me that John had proposed, I had two reactions. The first was joy for my friends who decided to celebrate their love with marriage. The second was “I can’t wait for the engagement session”. I’ve been thinking about it ever since.

Here is the end result. A beautiful couple in a beautiful setting. Congrats to two of my favorite people. I can’t wait for the wedding!

Wedding – Megan and Dillon

Megan and Dillon were married on a beautiful fall day in November at Glendalough Manor. I could see why they choose this location immediately. This venue, located 40 minutes outside of Atlanta, had it all – sprawling lawns and gardens with gorgeous trees echoing all the colors of fall, two pristine and large reception halls, one with a fireplace.

Megan and Dillon chose to have a first look before the wedding, which always makes for great pictures.

Their ceremony took place as the sun went down – it was so romantic.

This was another time that I got work with Graceology but unlike before, it was my first time working with Chris’s other half, Heather. She is as much a wedding photo extraordinaire as her hubby. I really enjoyed working with her. Check out her beautiful photos from Megan & Dillon’s wedding here.

Congrats Megan & Dillon! I wish you both all the best!

Wedding – Sharon & Bryan

Sharon and Bryan were married at a church in North Atlanta. Their ceremony was a traditional catholic mass followed by a lavish reception at the Biltmore Hotel in the Georgian Ballroom.

I got to be a part of their day by way of Marta Noe Photography. This was the first time Marta asked me to work for her and I was more than thrilled. She has given me photography advice over the last couple years and her work is amazing. Marta has been doing weddings for some time now and shoots each one using her well-trained, artistic eye. I hope to work with her more in the future. Check out her blog post for Sharon & Bryan here: http://martanoephotographyblog.com/2011/12/02/sharon-bryan-married/

Thank You Marta! Congrats Sharon & Bryan!

Wedding – Jennie & Anish

Jennie & Anish were married on a sunny fall Saturday at Saint Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville, GA. Their ceremony incorporated sentiments from the Catholic religion and from Indian tradition. Their families celebrated with them in the Hilton Ballroom where dances were danced, tears were shed and love was shared. It was a magical evening, to say the least. Congrats Jennie & Anish!

Wedding – Mallary & Kyle

Mallary & Kyle were married at Tucker Plantation just outside of Athens, Georgia. You might remember Mallary & Kyle’s engagement pictures from Chateau Elan. I was glad to see them again, especially on this day.

Mallary and Kyle’s wedding was yet another opportunity to work with the amazing Graceology. These guys have been so great for me to work with. I’ve learned so much from them already! Check out this super sweet shot Chris got of Mallary pre-ceremony. It’s truly breath-taking!

My favorite shot that I took is surprisingly raw, as in no effects. Just some lightening to show the detail of the couple’s faces:

I just love this shot – the sun coming off his shoulder, her eyes serenely closed! Part of me wants to remove the lens flare on her dress and the other part wants to leave it as it. What to do?

It was so fun to work with these guys again. Congrats Mallary and Kyle! I wish you all the best!

Gera and Jordan

Gera and Jordan were married at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The weather was less than ideal that night so the decision was made to do the ceremony inside. With their parents and family by their sides, Jordan and Gera in Mershon Hall. As you can see, the rain didn’t put the slightest damper on the ceremony.

What’s a photographer to do when it hasn’t stopped raining for hours? Well, Chris from Graceology decided to grab an umbrella. Check out this awesome shot he got of Jordan and Gera between the trees. He did an incredible job considering the circumstances. Once the rain let up, Chris got quite a few surreal shots of the couple. I urge you to browse the Facebook album Graceology posted for this wedding. Outstanding work! It’s been an honor to work with Graceology thus far and I can’t wait to do it again. I can’t thank them enough!

Here’s the sweet gallery for Gera & Jordan. Enjoy and congrats to the couple again!

Cameron and Cameron, Part 2

You may recall, I had the pleasure of joining Graceology to shoot the wedding of Cameron and Cameron. You can see pics from their first appearance on the sweeter blog here: http://sweeterthan.net/blog/?p=331

There were so many pics I didn’t get to post, I decided to do a part 2. So without further a do, here’s another set of images from Cameron and Cameron’s wedding at Primrose Cottage. Congrats, again!

Wedding – Cameron & Cameron

Cameron and Cameron had the perfect wedding at pristine Primrose Cottage in Roswell, Georgia. Their excitement to marry each other is apparent in every frame.

I was lucky enough to photograph Cameron and Cameron’s Wedding because of a chance meeting with a company who’s work I LOVE to look at. I met Chris from Graceology at my friend Michael’s new office party and he mentioned that he had a wedding coming up that he could use a second shooter on. I have been waiting for an opportunity like this for awhile and words cannot express how thankful I am to Graceology.

Congrats Cameron and Cameron! I wish you all the best.
