This family portrait session was so fun because I got to photograph the sweetest girl with her mommy & daddy. We walked around Grant Park and took some portraits among the big trees. The park was full of fall colors, making a perfect back drop for our session.
Hannah is a senior at Duluth High School. She’s a member of the drama club and loves Dr. Who. She is ready to graduate from high school with the class of 2015 now that she has had senior photos made. She plans on becoming a massage therapist after graduation. We did our shoot at a few favorite scenic West Atlanta spots. Check out the results below.
This engagement is very near and dear to my heart. Ashlee has been an amazing friend to me for over 20 years. When she told me that John had proposed, I had two reactions. The first was joy for my friends who decided to celebrate their love with marriage. The second was “I can’t wait for the engagement session”. I’ve been thinking about it ever since.
Here is the end result. A beautiful couple in a beautiful setting. Congrats to two of my favorite people. I can’t wait for the wedding!
You may recognize these folks from previous sweeter blog posts. They are back again. This time with a new addition to the family. Their newest baby girl arrived this summer and as you can see, she is welcomed by all.
Vinayak asked for a head shot for his professional use. Here’s what we came up with:
His daughter joined us outside and I got this adorable snap shot of her. I couldn’t resist adding the vintage effects:
Here is my favorite family portrait of the day:

Jamie and Aaron are expecting a baby this July. This shoot was beyond special because it celebrates my future niece or nephew. That’s right – my beautiful sister and brother-in-law are expecting a baby!
We went to the place that they got married, Rhodes Hall on Peachtree Street. Then a little park where Peachtree and W. Peachtree intersect that was just filled with cherry blossoms. We then went to the High Museum campus that was also brimming with cherry blossoms. Our final stop was the railroad tracks in Jamie and Aaron’s neighborhood. It was a great shoot with gorgeous results – check it out.
On a cold, cloudy day at the Howell Mill Food Truck park, I expected to find an empty scene. Boy, was I wrong. Despite the fact that snow flurries were falling, there were tons of folks at the Taste and Brews Festival. The people that showed up had prepared well, wearing their hats and gloves and warm coats. Everyone seem to be in a great mood despite the dreary weather.
The Masala Fresh food truck had a steady line of folks wanting to try their samples of indian street food. Chicken tikka masala over rice coupled with a veggie samosa and a few pieces of naan was a hit with the crowd because it came out steaming hot and so tasty! I had a blast watching each patron devour their taste of Masala Fresh.
Masala Fresh is the first indian street food truck in Atlanta. I recommend getting a naan wrap which is like a indian burrito: yummy chicken masala and rice wrapped in a piece of naan. So simple yet so good. To find out where the Masala Fresh truck will be next, like them on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/MasalaFresh
What do you do when your brothers and sisters come to town for your dad’s retirement? You have a photoshoot with Sweeterthan! It was truly my pleasure to spend an afternoon with Meetal and her family at Bulloch Hall in Roswell, Georgia. The gorgeous sprawling grounds were the perfect backdrop for this family portrait session.
Three generations of family in one shoot is such a special way to celebrate. I am so honored to have been the photographer that gets to catch these sweet moments in this family’s life. Thank you again Vinayak and Meetal!

Van Michael Salons is Atlanta’s premier beauty salon. With 5 locations in the Atlanta area, they’ve got Atlanta’s stylish men and women covered. They called me in for a night of hair and makeup and food and FUN at the Sandy Springs location. The theme was Miss Independence and as you can see the independent women came out in droves for this exciting event. Check out the pics of all the ladies and one classy man!
I got to hang out with Donna while she did her thing again. It’s becoming a regular sweet gig ;). On her May 14th show, Donna interviewed Hap Schnieder, the General Sales Manager for A City Discount. He brought some trivia and some super cool knives to share. You can check out his interview in the archives on Donna’s site: http://dishingwithdonna.co/
